Helping Your Consultants Gather Customers
How to find customers when you’re in an area were ambit is not doing business.
It is important to understand how to gather customers no matter where you live. Some of the most successful consultants live in areas were ambit does not do business. All customer gathering principles stay the same, you just learn how to network your way back into an area where we are acquiring customers. You can and will become very successful at finding customers are following this simple method of operation.
1.
Make a list of everyone you know, no matter where they live. You should come up with at least 100 names before you start this procedure. It’s not that difficult everyone is a potential prospect.
2.
Put all your prospects into three different categories,
A, prospects that live close to where you live.
B, prospects who live in different parts of the country.
C, prospects that live in areas were ambit is doing business.
3.
Identify 10 prospects that you feel or your hottest prospects with the most potential and influence. With this list we’re going to start building are ambit business and having fun.
Start contacting these people, and remember we are not selling or convincing anyone, we are looking for people who are looking for us. By following and practicing the sample script below, you will see how you can network your way back into areas were ambit is already doing business. Remember you have a support system ,and you should never work alone. Have your outline SC or above help you in getting started.
The script
Contact your prospect by phone or in person it doesn't matter and ask them,
Do you know anybody who lives in (any area were ambit is doing business now)?
If they say yes ask them, if the money was right, and we call them up and asked them to help us, would they help us?
You will get responses like, it depends on what it is, what’s going on, ect. The point is you’ll always get positive responses. Your answer to this will be, well I may be onto something. So far it looks pretty good. It’s an energy company out of Texas that I came across and appears to have huge income potential. I’m still checking things out right now. If this thing turns out to be as good as it appears to be, do you want me to get back in touch with you?
They will almost always say yes.
Keep notes on where they know people, and tell them you’ll get back with them as soon as you get more information. Tell them no more , and leave them waiting to hear from you, very important to do this. Always remember, less is more, and more is less.
If they answered no to that first question, still use the same procedure, nothing changes. At this point we’re just building a good database, and warm prospect market. After you have done this you are ready to contact your SC are above and start your ambit business. Remember to keep adding to your prospect list. Your list is the most important part of this business.

When you get back with your top 10 prospects be excited and in a hurry.
Hey john , this is a Jane. Remember that energy deal I was telling you about?
Well I’ve had time to check it out and, it looks even better than what I thought it was. I believe this may be just what we’ve been looking for. I’ve decided to get started, it makes too much sense to not do this.
I promise you I would get back with more info and, remember those people that you knew who lived in (Ambit area) they could benefit big because of what you and I are doing. How do you want to get the details? I have several options for you . (Use the tools that are available to you for exposing the opportunity. Let the system do the work.)
Tell john that you are in a hurry, and it’s important for him to check out this thing right now. Tell john you’ll have your supervisor available next time we talked to answer questions you may have so you don’t screw it up. They can also help us move into your (people in ambit area) so all this can start making some extra income.
Follow up with SC or above
When you contact john back with SC or above helping you, the procedure is no different no matter where you live you’ll answer questions and find out john’s interest level . If john is ready, sign him up. Even if john is not real in interested, it doesn’t matter. Because we will remind john about those people that he know in ( Ambit area) john remember those people you knew in (ambit area)? Let’s call them up and see if they want to save money on an energy bill and get $200 gift from you just and that for trying ambit. You said you thought they would help us if the money was right, we might even be able to eliminate their energy bill. And they may want to make money like you and I. Let’s give them a call now why we have this SC helping us.
The whole concept of this process is to network your way back into an area where ambit is doing business right now. You will find that you know somebody who knows somebody that is in an area to find customers. It may be someone who simply wants to go out and find customers for you and you can help them through a referral program. And remember it’s not about what you do it’s about what you start. The bigger footprint you get now the bigger business you will have in the future. Ambit will be expanding into new markets for the next several years. By learning how to network your way back into these markets and build data base for future markets you will be a head of the game. Always use the proven system and your support team and, go out and have fun, and get lucky.
The Very Best Way to Get Customers!!
Is to ask a friend for a favor. If you just ask them if they want to save money it usually doesn't work. So here is what has been the most success. Your results will be ten fold compared to asking them to save.
Ask you friend to do a favor and the reason why you are asking them is because(you will insert whatever you reason why you started your Ambit business example like being able to see your children, generation wealth for your family you need to let them know that it is very important to you!!) ________________________ it is not going to cost you anything and it will save you money, like I said it really means a lot to me can you help me out?
Most of the time they will say most likely yes or how can I help you. Then just tell them just like it say on Customer Gathering Tips under the Learning The Customer Gathering Drill tab.
If they say no I don't think so then tell them next time you have a flat tire call your current supplier and tell them to help you. You have got to let them know how much you believe in what you are doing!! Most of the time they will help you after this. If you don't know them enough to do this or don't won't too then you can go to option B . Option B doesn't give as good as results but still works.
Option B You can tell them like I said it really means a lot to my family I just want you to try and if for any reason you don't like Ambit you can go back to your current supplier and pay more. Then after you answer any question for them let them know again how important it is to you!!!
Make sure you have an enrollment form or computer ready to sign them up tell them you like to get it done now. If you let them tell you I will have to think about it or something like that chances are less that you will get them if they insist then find out when would be a better time to get a hold of them tonight or tomorrow you want to close the deal within 48 hours!! Again state how important this is for you and your family!!
Finding Customers In Non Service Areas

You can and will become very successful at finding customers by following this simple method of operation.

Believe it or not, one of the most important things people forget to do is contact that list!
So Contact everyone on your list.
What do you say? First thing is ask them one simple question. Do you know anyone that lives in Texas, New York, Illinois, Maryland, Pennsylvania (and other service states as we expand)?
When someone says Yes, you can then say something like: Your sister lives in Texas? Great! I just partnered up with an energy company that helps people save money on their energy bills AND gives people an opportunity to earn FREE energy! Would you do me a favor see if I can help her save money on her energy bill?
Next step is contacting the potential customer. It's best to have the relative/friend on the line with you just as an extra support. Because the person you are talking to does not know you, having the prospects relative on the line turns the phone call into more of a "warm market" call rather then a "cold market."
You can have your friend start by first asking do you have a few minutes. Then introducing you as long time friends. He is with an energy company that I think can help you out. After your introduction present what it is we offer in that state.
Added Notes/Alternative situations
The previous script is in a perfect world. It doesn't always go that smoothly. It is meant as a basic example.
Some things that may occur- When you find a friend that knows someone, what if they are hesitant on helping their relatives or friends save money. Maybe "sure you're gonna get paid, but what's in it for me" type of situation. Well, you have 2 options:
1. You can see if they would like to become a consultant as well. Show them the video, 3 way call, sign them up, help him to sign up his own relatives/friends as his own customers.
2. Offer him a "finders fee". If your friend will allow you to help contact their list, for every one of their prospects that chooses Ambit Energy as their energy provider, you can give them a finders fee. His duty will be to supply you a list, you both can contact that list together, but it's YOUR duty to physically enroll the customers yourself. Your friend should not enroll the cusotmer for you on your website. This way you know for a fact the information was put in correctly, and it's more convenient for the customer. This method can also be helpful if your friend wants to become a consultant, but they don't have the start up cost. You may want to offer your finders fee as a way to help finance their initial business expense.
When contacting the potential customer, you may or may not enroll that customer on the first phone call. In some areas additional information may be required that they may not have on them at the moment. It may take a few calls to finally have them entered into the system. Just always keep in mind of "why" you are doing the business. Compare what you have to do on a daily bases to make income to calling a few people back a few times to achieve financial freedom.
To some, 20 customers may seem overwhelming. Don't think of it as 20 customers. Rather think of it as 5 customers, 4 times in your life. You don't have to get 20 customers tomorrow, spread it out. Get a few customers a week, and get a few the next. It only takes 3 customers to get to Regional Consultant.
